Dr James E CainJames E. Cain, M.D.

Dr. Cain is a board-certified orthopaedics surgeon practicing since 1990. He obtained his premedical education through the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado (1975) and Webster College in St. Louis, Missouri (1978), and received his Doctor of Medicine degree through Georgetown University School of Medicine Washington, D.C. (1982)

His general surgery training was obtained through Wright Patterson United States Air Force Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio (1983), and his orthopaedic residency from Wilford Hall United States Air Force Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas (1987). Dr. Cain completed his spine/scoliosis fellowship through the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas (1988).

He has held several staff appointments and positions ranging from Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery through F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine to Chief of Spinal Surgery Services at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. He served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1993, specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of the spine, and has been with our group since 1993. Dr. Cain is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society and the North American Spine Society. 

 

Dr Jonathan C KrausJonathan C. Kraus, M.D.

Dr. Kraus is a board-certified fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in the management of many musculoskeletal injuries as well as the treatment of conditions affecting the foot and ankle. After receiving his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) at Saint Louis University in 2007, he went on to complete a five-year residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Upon graduation, he pursued a yearlong fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. He has been in private practice since 2013 and joined Blount Orthopaedic Associates in 2015.

Dr. Kraus’s clinical interests include fracture care, treatment of athletic and workplace injuries, reconstruction of the foot and ankle, and treatment of the arthritis of the foot and ankle. He is well versed in the most current surgical techniques and non-surgical management in his specialty. He limits his practice primarily to adults and adolescents.

His certification is with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has several recent publications in peer-reviewed journals and has ongoing interest in research and education.

 

 

Dr John T KronerJohn T. Kroner, M.D.

Dr. Kroner has been a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon since 1989. He has served as past president of the Milwaukee Orthopaedic Society and past chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at St. Michael’s Hospital – Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as well as various other significant board/staff positions.

Dr. Kroner obtained his premedical education through Marquette University (1978) and attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin (1982). While completing this orthopaedics residency through the Medical College of Wisconsin (1982–1987), he was chosen as chief resident during his senior year. Dr. Kroner specializes in surgery and treatment of general orthopaedic problems, such as joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic surgery, fractures, sports medicine and has been with the group since 1987.

 

Dr Joseph M KronerJoseph M Kroner, M.D.

Dr. Joseph Kroner is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. He obtained his premedical education through the University of Wisconsin – Madison and in 2007 received his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin. In 2012, Dr. Kroner completed the five year residency program with the Medical College of Wisconsin in the Department of Orthopaedics and went on to finish a fellowship program specializing in sports medicine and management of shoulder conditions.

A member of this practice since 2013 – Dr. Joseph Kroner sees primarily adults to adolescents and offers both operative and non operative treatment options. He is a member of the Wisconsin and Milwaukee Orthopaedic Societies, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

 

Dr Lawrence J MaciolekLawrence J. Maciolek, M.D.

Dr. Maciolek has been a board-certified orthopedic surgeon since 2009. He obtained his premedical education through Duke University in Durham, North Carolina (1997), and attended the University of Wisconsin – Medical College of Wisconsin (2006), where he was chosen as chief resident during his senior year. Dr. Maciolek completed an orthopaedics spine fellowship through Harvard University Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, and joined our group upon its completion in 2007.

He specialize in diagnosis, treatment and surgery of spine.

 

Todd M. Swenson, M.D.

Dr. Todd Swenson is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, as well as arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder. Dr. Swenson began practicing orthopaedic surgery in 1995 and joined Blount Orthopaedic Associates in 2000. He serves as a consultant and team physician for UW-Milwaukee athletics and Concordia University athletics. Dr. Swenson received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Dr Todd M SwensonHe completed his orthopaedic surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and then completed an additional year of fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Center for Sports Medicine. In addition to his board certification in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Swenson holds a subspecialty certificate in orthopaedic sports medicine.

Dr. Swenson is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the Mid-American Orthopedic Association.

 

 

Dr Rory R Wright

Dr. Rory R. Wright, M.D.

Dr. Wright has been a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon since 1996. He obtained his premedical education through Marquette University (1984) and received his Doctor of Medicine degree through the Medical College of Wisconsin (1988). His general surgery training was done through the University of California San Diego (1989) and his orthopaedics residency through the Medical College of Wisconsin (1994) where he was chosen as chief resident during his senior year. Dr. Wright has held various staff positions, as well as serving as president of the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin.

He specializes in surgery and treatment of general orthopaedic problems – joint replacement, surgery, arthroscopic surgery, fractures and sports medicine – and has been with our group since 1994.

 

Dr Dean W ZieglerDean W. Ziegler, M.D.

As a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and active member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, Dr. Dean Ziegler is specialized in the management of shoulder and elbow disorders. He graduated from medical school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and
completed his residency in orthopaedics at the Indiana University Medical Center
in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Ziegler completed a shoulder and elbow fellowship at the University of Washington, in Seattle.

He joined the Blount Orthopaedic Associates in 1995. Dr. Ziegler is a fellow of the
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons; an active member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons; and belongs to the Milwaukee Orthopaedics Society and the Wisconsin Orthopaedic Society.
